The Bombay Art Society’s l29th All India Annual Art Exhibition 2021 – Online
At www.bombayartsociety.org from 25th March to 25th April 2021
The Bombay Art Society’s (BAS) All India Annual Art Exhibition is an important art event on the calendar of visual arts happenings in India since the beginning in 1888. It has assumed the form of mega-event for the artists’ community not only in the western parts of India but artists from far northern, eastern and southern parts of India also participate every year and Society receive exhibition entries as far away as West Bengal, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Jammu.
The BAS annual art exhibition mounted every year at all exhibition halls in Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai is presented this year in an online format, as it is difficult to organise an exhibition at the Jehangir art gallery due to Covid-19 Pandemic.
We are inviting entries from Professional Artists and art students for students’ category.
Entries are to be submitted in digital form – only in JPEG files
Resolution: For online exhibition, digital Images in JPEG for should be 1000 x 1500 pixel in 72 dpi (Roughly 15 x 20 Cms).
File Name: File names must include the Artist’s name, Category (Painting/Sculpture/Graphics/Drawing) Title of artwork, dimension (in inches with Height first) and medium. Also include the price in INR. (Ex. INR.20,000 )

Note: Please give the total price of the artwork including 12% GST and 25% Bombay Art Society’s commission on the sale. If artwork is sold, artist’s will receive 63% of the total price mentioned after deducting 12% GST and 25% society’s commission
Entry Fees need to be paid via online transfer to The Bombay Art Society bank account.

Rules and Regulations:
Eligibility: Open to all artists of Indian nationality, working in any style.
Entries: Each participant can submit multiple entries in every category.
Size: This year, as the exhibition is online, there is no restriction on size or weight of artworks. Artworks of any size & weight can be submitted for online exhibition,as only images will be displayed in the exhibition online.
Acceptance:
a) All entries must be received as above on bombayartsociety@gmail.com between 15 December 2020 to 28 February 2021
b) Students will be required to produce bonafide certificate issued by the educational institutions to which they belong.
c) Society will have the full right to refuse entry without stating any reason whatsoever.
Judging
The decision of the Jury will be final in the matter of selection and Judging. No Communication on the subject will be entertained. The judging committee will not assign any reason for their decisions.
Catalogue
a) Each selected participant will get a complimentary copy of the digital catalogue. ( Catalogue can be downloaded from the website www.bombayartsociety.org after 25 March 2021)
b) The Society reserves the right to reproduce any entry for the catalogue or for the purpose of publicity any time in the future.
Sale
The exhibit selected for the exhibition will be offered for sale. All sales will be negotiated by the Society. The Society will retain 25% donation from the stated or negotiated price. The rest of the amount will be paid to the artist.
Photography
Rules are subject to change by the Managing Committee. Categories in Photography are as follows. (1) Portrait (2) Landscape (3) Pictorial (4) Wildlife (5) Creative (6) Abstract (7) Digital (8) Still Life.
Note: Photographs should not be older than 2019.
